Fertility Grant Application Cycles
MJ’s Legacy Foundation awards fertility grants through four application cycles each year. Applications submitted during each cycle will be reviewed together after the application period closes.
Winter Grant Cycle
Applications Open: October 1 – October 31
Grant Decisions: November
Spring Grant Cycle
Applications Open: January 1 – January 31

Summer Grant Cycle
Applications Open: April 1 – April 30
Grant Decisions: May
Fall Grant Cycle

Important: Applications are not reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis. All eligible applications received during a grant cycle will receive equal consideration. Applicants only need to submit one application per grant cycle.
The number and amount of grants awarded each cycle will be determined based on available funding and the applications received. Submission of an application does not guarantee funding.
Fertility Grant Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for a grant from MJ’s Legacy Foundation, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Financial Need: Household income less than $250,000
Insurance Status: Be uninsured for fertility treatments or have exhausted infertility coverage.
Medical Evaluation: Be evaluated by, and under the care of, a Board Certified Reproductive Endocrinologist who has diagnosed the cause of infertility and has prescribed a treatment plan.
Location: Be a United States citizen
Among eligible applicants, priority will be given to applicants who:
Have a household income less than $150,000
Have primary infertility (no living children)
Are under 40 years old
Have not undergone previous IVF cycles
Please Note: We do not offer grants for oocyte (egg) or sperm cryopreservation, where the grant recipient has no immediate plans to attempt conception. This is due to a number of factors, including our limited funds and continued changes in technology and techniques surrounding retrieval and cryopreservation. This does not apply to applicants who are preserving eggs or sperm due to cancer or other medical diagnosis.
